Responsibilities:

An automation technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing automated irrigation systems, ensuring efficient water management and plant health. 

·         System Design and Installation:

Automation technicians work with irrigation system designs, ensuring proper placement of components like controllers, valves, and sensors.

·         Maintenance and Repair:

They regularly inspect, maintain, and repair irrigation systems, addressing issues like leaks, blockages, and faulty components.

·         Troubleshooting and Diagnostics:

They diagnose and resolve problems with irrigation systems, using their technical knowledge to identify and fix issues.

·         Programming and Automation:

They program irrigation controllers to optimize water usage based on factors like weather patterns, plant needs, and soil conditions.

·         Safety Compliance:

They ensure that irrigation systems are installed and maintained according to safety standards and regulations.

·         Customer Service:

They may interact with clients to explain system operation, provide training, and address concerns.
