Job Overview:
The CCTV Access Control Operator is responsible for managing access to CCTV systems, ensuring that footage is securely stored, and performing surveillance tasks to maintain security. This position involves operating and monitoring CCTV cameras, managing access permissions, and coordinating with the security team to address any security issues or incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
1. CCTV System Monitoring:
o Continuously monitor live CCTV feeds to ensure the security of the premises.
o Identify suspicious or unusual activities and report them to the appropriate personnel.
o Maintain a record of any security incidents, including time, location, and actions taken.
2. Access Control Management:
o Grant or deny access to CCTV systems based on permission levels and security protocols.
o Review access logs to ensure compliance with security policies.
o Ensure that only authorized personnel have access to CCTV footage.
3. Footage Retrieval and Archiving:
o Retrieve video footage upon request for investigations or auditing purposes.
o Safely store and archive footage according to company and legal retention policies.
o Ensure that footage is securely deleted after the retention period has ended.
4. System Maintenance:
o Monitor the performance of CCTV systems and report any issues, including equipment malfunctions.
o Ensure cameras are properly aligned and in working condition.
o Coordinate with the IT team for system upgrades or troubleshooting.
5. Compliance and Reporting:
o Ensure all CCTV operations comply with local laws, regulations, and internal policies.
o Prepare and submit periodic reports on CCTV system activity, incidents, and any issues encountered.
o Assist with audits and inspections related to CCTV usage and security.
6. Emergency Response:
o Respond quickly to any security incidents or emergencies, using CCTV footage to assist in identifying suspects or providing evidence.
o Collaborate with local authorities when needed during investigations.

Skills and Abilities:
• Proficiency in operating CCTV surveillance equipment and related software.
• Ability to identify and assess security risks.
• Familiarity with data protection laws and security regulations.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
