Pathology Lab Technician

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Pathologist. The ideal candidate will oversee the technical operations of the laboratory, ensuring high standards of performance and quality management. Requires extensive knowledge in various departments Haematology, Biochemistry, Clinical, Cytopathology, Histopathology, and Serology.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee overall technical operations of the laboratory at Ganesh Diagnostic.
• Manage inventory control and staff rosters to ensure efficient lab operations.
• Ensure quality control in all assigned departments, including Hematology, Biochemistry, Clinical Pathology, Cytopathology, Histopathology, and Serology.
• Verify test results and sign off on final reports, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
• Conduct training sessions for lab staff and monitor their competency to identify further training needs.
• Identify and rectify non-conformities in daily lab activities, ensuring high standards of practice.
• Monitor turnaround times for lab tests and implement measures to improve efficiency.
• Provide expert advice to medical staff on test selection, laboratory services, and data interpretation.
• Define, implement, and monitor standards of performance and quality management systems.
• Ensure sufficient qualified personnel with documented training and experience to meet lab needs.
• Approve and specify all test methods used in the laboratory.
• Follow the professional code of ethics and implement good laboratory practices.

Requirements:
• MBBD, MD/DNB in Pathology or equivalent.
• Extensive knowledge in Hematology, Biochemistry, Clinical Pathology, Cytopathology, Histopathology, and Serology.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage lab operations effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for training staff and providing expert advice.
• Ability to monitor and ensure quality control and accuracy in test results.
• Proficiency in using laboratory information systems and relevant software.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of performance and quality management.
• Ability to identify training needs and provide necessary training to lab staff.
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify and rectify non-conformities in lab activities.
