1. Patient Interaction:
o Communicate directly with patients, providing them with essential information regarding their prescribed medications.
o Address patient queries about drug usage, side effects, and other medication-related concerns.
o Ensure patients understand their chemotherapy treatment plans and follow proper medication administration.
2. Chemotherapy Drug Billing:
o Manage the billing process for chemotherapy drugs, ensuring that prices are accurate, and all required documentation is properly processed.
o Work with patients or insurance companies to verify coverage and ensure proper billing procedures are followed.
o Assist in generating invoices and providing necessary documentation for patient billing.
3. Record Maintenance:
o Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions, medication dispensation, and billing processes.
o Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all compliance regulations related to data protection.
4. Inventory Management (if applicable):
o Assist in managing the stock levels of chemotherapy drugs, including receiving shipments and ensuring proper storage.
o Track the usage of chemotherapy drugs and report any discrepancies to the relevant authorities.
5. Administrative Support:
o Perform general administrative tasks related to the pharmacy, such as filing, scanning, and organizing patient and medication records.
o Ensure that all records and billing information are filed correctly for easy retrieval during audits or inquiries.
6. Compliance and Documentation:
o Ensure all patient interactions and drug billing processes comply with relevant health regulations and pharmacy standards.
o Keep up-to-date with pharmacy guidelines and regulations related to chemotherapy drugs and billing.
