The Phlebotomist is responsible for drawing blood from patients for lab testing, ensuring comfort and safety during the process, and handling specimens properly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draw blood from patients using venepuncture or capillary techniques.

• Label and prepare blood samples for testing.

• Explain procedures to patients and answer questions.

• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

• Record patient information and specimen details accurately.

• Ensure equipment is sterile and in working order.

Qualifications:

• BMLT, DMLT, MLT..

• Certification in phlebotomy preferred.

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.

• Good communication and patient care skills.

• Ability to handle blood samples and maintain safety standards.
