● Oversee daily production processes during assigned shifts, ensuring safety, quality, &
efficiency.
● Monitor and manage chemical reactions, equipment operation, and product quality in
accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
● Work with the production team & maintenance team for smooth running of the plant.
● Troubleshoot any process-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
● Maintain accurate records of production data, including raw material usage, process
parameters, and product output in ERP software.
● Ensure compliance with all safety protocols & environmental regulations
● Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment, ensuring timely maintenance.
● Report production performance & any deviations from standard procedures to plant head
● Lead a team of operators, providing guidance & ensuring productivity during the shift.
● Support improvement initiatives for optimizing plant performance & cost efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills:
● Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
● 1-2 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment or production role
(entry-level or junior supervisory experience is acceptable).
Key Skills:
● Basic understanding of chemical manufacturing processes and plant operations.
● Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a chemical plant environment.
● Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
● Problem-solving ability and quick decision-making skills.
● Familiarity with basic production equipment and monitoring systems.
● Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
● Strong organizational and time-management skills.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Shift Timings:
This position requires the ability to work in a 3-shift system (morning, afternoon, and night shifts).
Flexibility is essential as shift timings will rotate periodically.
