Store Keeper

Key Responsibilities

1. Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate records of stock levels, receipts, and issues.

• Conduct regular stock checks and physical inventory audits.

• Ensure that stock levels are maintained as per operational requirements.

2. Receiving and Inspection

• Receive incoming shipments of food, beverages, linens, cleaning supplies, and other materials.

• Verify the quality, quantity, and specifications of received goods against purchase orders.

• Report any discrepancies or damaged items to the purchasing department.

3. Storage and Organization

• Properly store items following FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) methods.

• Ensure storage areas are clean, organized, and comply with safety and hygiene standards.

• Categorize and label all inventory for easy identification and access.

4. Issuing and Distribution

• Issue stock to different departments as per requisition orders.

• Keep track of items issued to avoid shortages and overstocking.

• Maintain clear documentation of all outgoing materials.

5. Record Keeping and Documentation

• Maintain updated records of purchases, suppliers, and transactions.

• Prepare reports on stock usage, trends, and wastage for management review.

• Use inventory management software or manual logs for efficient tracking.

6. Cost Control and Waste Management

• Monitor inventory to minimize losses and reduce waste.

• Work closely with the procurement team to control costs and manage budgets.

• Ensure expired or damaged goods are disposed of appropriately.

7. Compliance and Safety

• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards in storage areas.

• Follow hotel or restaurant policies regarding food safety and material handling.

• Report any hazards or maintenance issues related to storage areas.
