Job Title: Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager - Air Freight Pricing
Department: Air Freight - Pricing
Industry Knowledge & Skills:
1. Deep understanding of the logistics and freight forwarding industry.
Awareness of market conditions, competitor strategies, and emerging industry trends.
2. Expertise in sales strategies tailored to the freight forwarding industry.
Strong knowledge of pricing strategies and competitive buy and sell rates.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop Pricing Strategies: Create and implement air freight pricing strategies to maximize profitability and stay competitive.
2. Analyze Market Trends: Conduct regular market analysis, forecast pricing trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
3. Prepare Customer Quotes: Prepare detailed pricing proposals, ensure timely and accurate quotes for clients, considering all cost factors.
4. Optimize Costs: Negotiate rates with carriers to optimize costs without compromising service quality.
5. Build Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with airlines, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers.
6. Collaborate Across Departments: Work closely with sales, operations, and finance teams to support pricing strategies and ensure consistency.
7. Generate Reports: Create regular reports on pricing performance, profit margins, and provide actionable insights.
8. Ensure Compliance: Ensure all pricing activities comply with legal regulations and company policies, maintain detailed records.
9. Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, participate in training programs, and stay updated on industry developments.
Operational Support and Coordination:
1. Develop and communicate SOPs for standardized service delivery.
Streamline processes and address operational challenges.
2. Monitor customer payments and support billing processes.
3. Respond to special rate requests and assess feasibility of meeting unique customer requirements.
4. Provide insights for pricing strategy development, analyze market trends, and generate reports.
Self-Development:
Engage in continuous learning, training, and certification programs to stay updated with industry and functional trends.
Key Performance Indicators:
1. Lead Conversion Rate
