Job Title: Field Sales Executive – IT & Resource Outsourcing
Job Summary:
The Field Sales Executive will focus on finding new clients by understanding their IT outsourcing needs and offering customized solutions, like adding extra staff or managed services. This role involves building good relationships with key decision-makers, managing potential clients, and
meeting sales goals through clear communication and negotiation. The best candidate will have experience in IT services and a successful background in B2B sales.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Acquisition & Meetings:
o Travel to meet potential clients (such as IT managers, procurement heads, or HR departments) to assess their outsourcing needs.
o Present the company’s IT resource outsourcing solutions, such as staff augmentation, contract hiring, and IT infrastructure services.
o Conduct face-to-face sales presentations, showcasing how the company’s skilled resources can solve client pain points and enhance their IT operations.
2. Solution Selling:
o Work closely with potential clients to understand their technical requirements, project timelines, and staffing needs.
o Propose outsourcing solutions such as remote IT personnel, managed services, or specialized IT project teams.
o Customize solutions for each client to ensure alignment with their business objectives and technical needs.
3. Lead Management & Follow-Up:
o Follow up on leads provided by the business development or inside sales teams,
nurturing them into active opportunities.
o Conduct cold visits to potential clients within the IT industry, introducing the
company’s services and establishing initial contact.
o Ensure timely follow-ups on client inquiries and nurture relationships through the sales cycle.
4. Sales Target Achievement:
o Close deals by negotiating terms of service, resource allocation, and pricing with clients, ensuring alignment with company targets.
o Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets related to new client acquisition, revenue generation, and contract signings.
5. Client Relationship Management:
o Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in client organizations.
o Ensure client satisfaction post-sales by coordinating with the operations team to ensure smooth onboarding of outsourced resources.
o Act as the main point of contact for client queries and escalate issues as needed to ensure long-term satisfaction and retention.
6. Market Research & Competitor Analysis:
o Stay updated on market trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities in the IT and resource outsourcing industry.
o Use this knowledge to position the company’s services effectively and gain a competitive advantage in client pitches.
o Identify new sectors or niches within the IT industry where the company’s outsourcing solutions can be applied.
7. Collaboration & Coordination:
o Work closely with the recruitment, technical, and project delivery teams to ensure that client needs are fulfilled with the right IT resources.
o Provide feedback to the business development team on client needs, service gaps, and potential service improvements.
o Coordinate with internal teams for resource availability, deployment timelines, and post-sales service follow-up.
8. Reporting & Sales Pipeline Management:
o Maintain accurate records of client interactions, lead status, and sales activities using CRM software.
o Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to the management team, highlighting key opportunities and challenges.
o Track progress through the sales pipeline and ensure timely follow-ups on all active leads.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, Marketing, or related fields.
· Additional certifications in sales or IT services would be advantageous.
· Experience: 0 -1years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in IT services, staffing, or
· resource outsourcing sectors.
· Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of IT services, technology trends, and resource
· outsourcing models (e.g., staff augmentation, managed services).
· Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, with the ability to present
· complex technical solutions in an understandable manner.
· Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with senior
· decision-makers.
· Sales-Oriented: A results-driven individual with a focus on meeting or exceeding sales
· targets.
