Roles and Responsibilities
1. Develop strategies to increase revenue and market share, and build client relationships within the freight forwarding industry, focusing on both air and sea freight.
2. Negotiate directly with vendors for freight services, including containers, breakbulk, air charters, liners, agents, transporters, customs house agents (CHA), and other third-party vendors.
3. Provide quotes, follow up on leads, and convert quotes into orders.
4. Coordinate with the operations team after order confirmation to ensure smooth execution and provide updates to customers.
5. Manage post-delivery activities, including ensuring timely payments from customers.
6. Review and coordinate vendor invoices and payment processing with the accounts department and sales head.
7. Collect and report customer satisfaction feedback for each shipment.
