The Electrician & Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and manufacturing machinery. This role demands expertise in LT/HT panels, DG sets, motors, and manufacturing machines. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal performance and safety of all electrical and mechanical systems within the manufacturing plant.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Electrical Maintenance:
Inspect, maintain, and repair LT/HT panels, circuit breakers, transformers, and associated equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, wiring, and components to ensure efficient operation.
Perform electrical installations for new machinery and equipment.
2. DG Set Maintenance:
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot diesel generator (DG) sets to ensure backup power availability.
Conduct periodic testing and servicing of DG systems to avoid breakdowns.
3. Motor and Drive Maintenance:
Inspect and repair AC/DC motors, including rewinding and bearing replacements.
Diagnose and troubleshoot motor control issues and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
Ensure proper lubrication, alignment, and mounting of motors.
4. Machine Maintenance:
Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of manufacturing machinery, including CNC machines, conveyors, and automated systems.
Diagnose and resolve issues with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
5. Troubleshooting & Repairs:
Respond to emergency breakdowns of electrical and mechanical systems to minimize downtime.
Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement corrective measures.
6. Preventive Maintenance:
Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment, including LT/HT panels, DG sets, motors, and machinery.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities.
7. Safety Compliance:
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations during all maintenance activities.
Conduct regular inspections of electrical and mechanical systems to identify potential hazards.
8. Documentation:
Maintain service logs, repair histories, and calibration records for equipment and systems.
Update technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and maintenance procedures as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
Education:
ITI/Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
1–3 years of experience in electrical and maintenance roles in a manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience with LT/HT panels, DG sets, motors, and manufacturing machinery is mandatory.
