Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and dependable Fire Alarm Technician to install, inspect, test, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with various fire alarm systems and a strong understanding of fire code compliance and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and programming of fire alarm systems, including control panels, smoke detectors, pull stations, horns/strobes, and related equipment.
Inspect, test, and maintain fire alarm systems by referring blueprints, specifications and I.S Codes.
Candidate must have experience of working on Addressable panels. (Honeywell, Cooper, Siemens, Simplex, Edward, GST, Secutron, Notifier)
Must have expertise in commissioning and programming of any addressable panel
Troubleshoot system malfunctions and perform timely repairs or adjustments.
Conduct routine maintenance and preventive servicing to ensure systems are fully operational.
Complete service reports, inspection forms, and maintain accurate documentation of all work performed.
Coordinate with clients, project managers, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution.
Ensure compliance with all safety and fire codes, company policies, and standard operating procedures.
Stay updated with new technologies, codes, and best practices in fire alarm systems.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred.
2+ years of experience in fire alarm installation, service, or maintenance.
Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems (e.g., Notifier, Siemens, Simplex, EST, etc.).
amiliarity with NFPA codes and local fire regulations.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces when required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Must have diploma in fire and safety.
Experience with integrated systems (access control, CCTV, BMS).
