Job Title: Fleet Manager
Job Overview:
The Fleet Manager at ID Car Drivers Pvt Ltd will oversee the company's fleet operations, ensuring optimal vehicle maintenance, efficient driver management, and compliance with servicing and insurance schedules. The role requires strategic planning to minimize downtime, manage driver allocation, and ensure seamless daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Vehicle Maintenance & Compliance:
Maintain a detailed record of all company vehicles, including servicing history and upcoming service dates.
Schedule and track vehicle servicing to ensure timely maintenance and avoid breakdowns.
Maintain a list of vehicles with insurance renewal dates and ensure timely policy renewal.
Identify and oversee repairs or maintenance needs and coordinate with service providers.
Ensure compliance with RTO norms and vehicle-related regulations.
2. Driver Management & Allocation:
Assign daily duties to drivers based on operational requirements.
Manage driver replacements in case of absences or sudden unavailability.
Ensure that no more than one driver is on leave at a time to maintain service efficiency.
Handle leave requests and maintain a leave register.
Address driver concerns and resolve conflicts effectively.
3. Operational Efficiency & Reporting:
Monitor fuel usage and ensure cost-effective fleet operations.
Prepare and update reports on fleet performance, maintenance schedules, and driver attendance.
Coordinate with external vendors for servicing, repairs, and insurance renewals.
Ensure drivers adhere to company policies, including punctuality, discipline, and hygiene standards.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
1. Vehicle Maintenance & Compliance:
100% adherence to vehicle servicing schedules.
Zero instances of vehicle breakdowns due to missed maintenance.
100% insurance renewal before the due date.
2. Driver Management & Allocation:
Zero operational disruptions due to driver absenteeism.
90%+ driver attendance rate per month.
Effective driver utilization (minimizing idle hours and optimizing work allocation).
3. Operational Efficiency & Cost Management:
Reduction in fleet maintenance costs (tracking cost per vehicle per month).
Fuel efficiency improvement (monitoring fuel consumption vs. distance covered).
Minimized downtime (percentage of time vehicles are operational).
4. Reporting & Compliance:
Timely submission of fleet performance reports (weekly/monthly).
100% compliance with RTO norms and company policies.
Effective conflict resolution (number of driver complaints resolved per month).
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in logistics, operations management, or a related field preferred.
3+ years of experience in fleet management or a similar role.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, servicing schedules, and insurance processes.
Ability to manage drivers efficiently and handle conflict resolution.
Proficiency in MS Excel and fleet management software is a plus.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Work Conditions:
On-site role with field visits as required.
May require working on weekends or extended hours in case of operational needs.
