Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Logistics Coordinator/Executive to oversee the movement, storage, and distribution of raw materials and finished plastic products. The role involves coordinating with suppliers, production teams, warehouses, and customers to ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, and compliance with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Coordination:
Manage the inbound and outbound logistics of raw materials, including plastic resins, additives, and packaging components.
Coordinate transportation for finished products to clients and distribution centers.
Warehouse Management:
Oversee warehouse operations to maintain inventory accuracy, safety, and organization.
Implement efficient space management and storage systems.
Order Fulfillment:
Ensure on-time delivery of customer orders while minimizing delays and costs.
Monitor delivery schedules and handle exceptions or disputes.
Vendor & Carrier Management:
Negotiate contracts with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, transporters, and suppliers.
Evaluate vendor performance and address service-related issues.
Inventory Control:
Implement systems for inventory tracking, forecasting, and reporting.
Reduce material wastage and manage slow-moving inventory.
Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and legal requirements for plastic material handling and transportation.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, invoices, and customs documentation.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement strategies to improve logistics processes, reduce costs, and optimize delivery times.
Analyze data to identify bottlenecks and drive efficiency improvements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
3-5 years of experience in logistics, preferably in the plastic or manufacturing industry.
Proficiency in ERP and logistics management software (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
Strong understanding of inventory management and transportation regulations.
Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills.
Strong communication and team management abilities.
Knowledge of plastic manufacturing processes and industry trends is a plus.
