Job Title: Physician Assistant (Gynecology) – History Taking and Information Collection
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Physician Assistant specialized in Gynecology to support our practice by collecting comprehensive patient information and medical histories. The PA will serve as the first point of contact during patient visits, ensuring accurate and thorough documentation for physician review. This role does not involve physical examinations or diagnosis but plays a crucial role in facilitating high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct patient interviews with sensitivity and professionalism
Collect and document detailed medical, gynecologic, obstetric, and family histories
Record current symptoms, concerns, and relevant lifestyle information (e.g., menstrual history, contraceptive use, fertility plans)
Prepare structured patient history sheets/forms for physician review
Review and update patient records prior to the physician’s examination
Ensure all necessary pre-consultation paperwork, test reports, and consent forms are complete
Coordinate with front-desk staff to ensure patient flow efficiency
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
Support physicians in administrative tasks related to patient intake as needed
Qualifications:
Prior experience or strong interest in Gynecology and Women’s Health
Excellent interviewing, listening, and documentation skills
Compassionate demeanor and strong communication skills
Attention to detail and ability to work independently
Work Environment:
Outpatient gynecology clinic
Standard office hours Morning (8 AM to 12 Noon & 5 PM to 9 PM) with no on-call requirements
