We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Staff Nurse to join our dynamic nursing team. As a Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with established nursing standards and hospital policies. You will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, developing and implementing care plans, administering medications, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Your clinical expertise, empathy, and commitment to excellence will contribute significantly to the well-being of our patients.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care, including assessing health status, administering medications, performing treatments, and documenting interventions accurately and timely.
Develop and implement individualized patient care plans based on nursing assessments, medical diagnoses, and patient goals.
Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions and modify care plans as needed.
Administer medications via various routes (oral, intravenous, intramuscular, subcutaneous) safely and accurately, adhering to medication administration policies.
Perform various nursing procedures, such as wound care, catheterization, nasogastric tube insertion and care, and ostomy care.
Monitor vital signs, intake and output, and other relevant clinical data, and report any significant changes to the physician.
Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment plans, medications, and self-care techniques.
Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
Adhere to infection control policies and procedures to prevent the spread of infections.
Collaborate effectively with physicians, other nurses, allied health professionals, and support staff to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
Respond to patient emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions according to established protocols.
Maintain accurate and complete patient records in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Participate in nursing rounds, patient care conferences, and interdisciplinary team meetings.
Advocate for patient rights and ensure their needs are met.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures.
Stay updated on current nursing practices and maintain professional competency through continuing education and training.
Supervise and mentor junior nurses and nursing students as assigned.
Qualifications:

Preferred Skills:
Experience in a specific specialty area (e.g., medical-surgical, critical care, pediatrics, etc.).
BLS (Basic Life Support) and/or ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
Knowledge of local healthcare regulations and policies.
