Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service:
o Greet customers warmly and engage in friendly conversation.
o Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
o Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure a positive experience.
2. Food and Beverage Preparation:
o Prepare coffee, tea, and other beverages to customer specifications.
o Assemble and serve food items such as sandwiches, salads, and pastries.
o Maintain knowledge of the menu, including any seasonal items or specials.
3. Cash Handling and Point of Sale (POS) Operation:
o Operate the POS system to process transactions.
o Handle cash, credit cards, and other payment methods accurately.
o Balance cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts.
4. Cleanliness and Organization:
o Maintain a clean and tidy workspace, including the counter, dining areas, and equipment.
o Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
o Restock supplies such as napkins, utensils, and food products as needed.
5. Team Collaboration:
o Work closely with other team members to ensure efficient service.
o Assist in opening and closing procedures, including setting up or shutting down equipment.
o Support teammates during busy periods by multitasking and adapting to shifting priorities.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Customer-focused attitude with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and cash register operation.
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to assist in various tasks.
• Previous experience in a cafe or food service environment is a plus, but not required.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
