Retail Pharmacy Manager
We are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced Medicine Shop Manager to oversee daily operations, assist customers, and ensure compliance with medical standards. The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
1. Prescription Interpretation:
• Ability to accurately read and interpret doctor prescriptions.
• Understanding of medical abbreviations, symbols, and terminology.
2. Pharmaceutical Knowledge:
• Strong understanding of prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medications, including their uses, dosages, side effects, and interactions.
• Knowledge of emergency medications and the ability to provide them responsibly.
3. Customer Service and Communication:
• Excellent communication skills to assist customers with their medical needs and provide accurate information.
• Patience, empathy, and professionalism in handling customer inquiries and concerns.
4. Leadership and Team Management:
• Ability to lead and train pharmacy staff, ensuring accurate dispensing and effective customer service.
• Conflict resolution skills to handle staff and customer issues calmly.
5. Inventory and Stock Management:
• Experience in managing inventory, including ordering, stocking, and tracking expiration dates.
• Maintaining accurate records to prevent stockouts and minimize wastage.
6. Regulatory Compliance:
• Knowledge of legal regulations related to the sale and distribution of medications.
• Ensuring the shop adheres to health and safety standards.
7. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
• Ability to handle emergency situations and provide appropriate medication promptly.
• Quick decision-making skills to address customer needs and operational challenges.
8. Financial Management:
• Experience with billing, cash handling, and maintaining financial records.
• Basic understanding of pricing, discounts, and promotions to maximize profitability.
9. Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in using pharmacy management software for billing, inventory, and record-keeping.
• Basic computer skills for maintaining digital records and communication.
