The Store Incharge is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store/warehouse, ensuring inventory is managed efficiently, stock levels are maintained, and all store activities are conducted in compliance with company policies and standards. The Store Incharge will handle goods receipt, storage, inventory control, and distribution, ensuring a smooth flow of materials in and out of the store.
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate records of stock levels and ensure proper stock rotation.
Track stock usage and identify potential stock shortages or surpluses.
Monitor inventory movements and conduct periodic stock audits.
Ensure proper labeling and categorization of products to enable easy retrieval.
Receiving and Storing Goods:
Receive and inspect incoming goods to ensure they meet quality standards and match the purchase order.
Verify quantities and specifications of items received.
Ensure proper storage of goods, following safety and organization standards.
Report damaged or missing goods to the purchasing or procurement team.
Stock Distribution:
Ensure timely and accurate distribution of stock to internal departments or external customers.
Prepare and issue goods to departments based on requisitions.
Maintain accurate records of materials issued and transferred.
Order Processing:
Process and fulfill orders in a timely manner.
Ensure that all products are properly packed and labeled for shipment.
Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely dispatch and delivery of goods.
Inventory Control:
Conduct regular physical inventory checks and reconcile with system records.
Monitor stock levels and ensure replenishment orders are placed in a timely manner.
Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in stock levels or inventory records.
Health & Safety Compliance:
Ensure that the store area is clean, safe, and well-organized.
Adhere to health and safety regulations and report any potential hazards.
Conduct regular checks on the condition of storage facilities and equipment.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of stock movements, receipts, and dispatches.
Generate reports on inventory status, stock levels, and order fulfillment.
Assist with generating purchase orders, return orders, and other relevant documents.
Team Coordination & Supervision:
Supervise a team of storekeepers or assistants (if applicable) and ensure they follow standard operating procedures.
Coordinate with other departments such as procurement, sales, and logistics to ensure smooth operations.
Train and guide junior staff on store operations and safety protocols.
Customer Service:
Address any inquiries related to stock availability, order status, or product details.
Ensure that all customer orders are fulfilled accurately and within the given time frame.
Education:
Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent; a degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration is preferred.
Experience:
Previous experience in inventory management, store operations, or warehouse management is preferred (usually 2-3 years).
Skills:
Proficiency in inventory management software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Good understanding of inventory control, stock management, and logistics operations.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

Physical Requirements:

Location: Warehouse/Store Facility
Work Hours: Typically 9 AM – 6 PM, Monday to Saturday (or according to the company’s work schedule).
Environment: Warehouse setting, may involve exposure to warehouse noise, dust, and heavy lifting.
