Estimation Executive - Fire Protection Systems Integration

Location: Goregaon West, Mumbai

Job Title: Estimation Executive

Reporting To: Sale Manager / Director.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic, smart, and efficient Estimation Executive to join our team in Goregaon West, Mumbai. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of fire protection systems, and exceptional proficiency in MS Excel. This role is crucial in preparing accurate and competitive estimates for our projects, ensuring timely submission of tenders, and effectively following up with clients to secure business. The candidate should preferably reside in the western suburbs of Mumbai and have 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in the fire protection or any similar industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Expertise: Possess a strong understanding of firefighting systems and products, including their operation and specifications.

  • System Knowledge: Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of both Water-Based and Electronic Fire Protection Systems.

  • Requirement Analysis: Ability to meticulously read and understand client/consultant enquiries and tender requirements and effectively coordinate with the design department to clarify technical specifications.

  • Vendor Engagement: Float enquiries in the market as needed and proactively obtain timely and accurate material rates.

  • Vendor Relations: Maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure prompt receipt of quotations for offer preparation.

  • Offer Preparation: Prepare detailed and accurate technical and commercial offers based on market rates and a thorough understanding of project requirements.

  • Tender Management: Prepare comprehensive tender documents, ensuring all necessary and authentic information is included for timely submission.

  • Follow-Up and Negotiation: Conduct diligent and effective follow-ups with clients/consultants after offer/tender submission, address queries, and prepare necessary amendments. Maintain a detailed track record of submissions and follow-up activities.

  • MIS Reporting: Prepare insightful MIS reports, including daily achievement reports and weekly/monthly reports on offer conversion to order.

  • Administrative Support: Provide assistance in various administrative tasks, including record keeping and filing, as and when required.

  • Procurement Support: Assist in floating enquiries and obtaining offers from the market for actual procurement needs. Prepare comparative statements for vendor finalization.

  • MS Office Proficiency: Demonstrate excellent operational skills in MS Excel and other MS Office applications.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Any Graduate or bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of proven experience in estimation within the fire protection integration or allied industry.

  • Strong understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Proven ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.

  • Familiarity with the local market and vendors in Mumbai is an advantage.

  • Preference will be given to candidates residing in the western suburbs of Mumbai.
