Role & Responsibilities:
• The Sales Head will be responsible for driving revenue growth, maximizing profitability, and overseeing the overall sales strategy in the automobile sector. This leader will build and manage a high-performing sales team, develop strategic partnerships, and ensure the alignment of sales goals with the company's broader objectives. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in automobile sales, a deep understanding of the automotive market, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
• Sales Strategy & Planning
• Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with business goals and market trends.
• Conduct market research to identify new growth opportunities, product trends, and competitive positioning.
• Set sales targets and KPIs for regional and national teams, tracking performance to ensure target achievement.
Team Leadership & Development
• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of sales managers and representatives to drive individual and team performance.
• Foster a results-driven and customer-centric culture within the team.
• Recruit, onboard, and retain top talent while promoting continuous training and development.
Business Development & Account Management
• Establish strong relationships with key accounts, dealerships, and partners to maximize sales channels.
• Identify potential partners, negotiate contracts, and expand the company’s network in the automotive sector.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, finance, operations) to support sales efforts.
Revenue & Profitability
• Drive revenue growth by exploring innovative sales techniques, pricing strategies, and customer acquisition methods.
• Monitor and analyze sales metrics, adjusting plans as necessary to achieve profitability targets.
• Implement performance-driven incentives to motivate the sales team.
Market & Competitor Analysis
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and customer preferences.
• Conduct competitor analysis to inform sales strategies and adjust positioning as needed.
• Provide feedback to the product development team on customer insights and market needs.
Reporting & Performance Measurement
• Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and budgets for executive management.
• Use data-driven insights to measure success, optimize processes, and drive decision-making.
• Present performance updates to stakeholders, providing actionable recommendations.
Preferred candidate profile
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the automotive industry. Should have experience in industrial sales and OEM.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets, ideally with experience managing national or regional teams.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and market insights.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
