Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

Lead Generation:

Identify and reach out to potential clients through cold calls, emails, social media, and networking.

Develop strategies for identifying new business opportunities in the travel sector, including targeting corporate clients, travel agencies, and individual clients.

Client Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.

Understand client needs and offer tailored travel packages or services to meet those needs.

Sales and Revenue Growth:

Achieve or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall revenue growth of the company.

Develop sales presentations and proposals for potential clients, focusing on the company’s travel packages, services, and unique offerings.

Market Research:

Conduct research on market trends, competitors, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for growth.

Use market insights to develop effective business strategies and identify gaps in the current offerings.

Negotiation and Deal Closing:

Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and services with clients to close deals.

Ensure timely and smooth closing of deals while maintaining professional relationships with clients.

Networking:

Attend trade shows, networking events, and other industry-related activities to expand the company’s reach and identify new business opportunities.

Cultivate and maintain relationships with industry influencers, partners, and other stakeholders.

Customer Feedback:

Gather feedback from clients to ensure satisfaction and identify areas of improvement.

Address client concerns or issues promptly to maintain a positive relationship.

Collaboration with Sales & Marketing:

Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment between business development goals and marketing strategies.

Collaborate with marketing to create effective promotional materials and campaigns.

Reporting and Analysis:

Track and report on business development activities, including sales progress, leads, and deal closures.

Provide regular updates to management on business performance, market trends, and competitive intelligence.

Problem-Solving:

Proactively address challenges and obstacles during the sales process to keep deals on track.

Offer solutions that meet the clients' needs while also benefiting the business.

Skills and Qualifications:

Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with clients and team members.

Sales Ability: Proven experience or a strong aptitude for sales and negotiations, ideally in the travel or hospitality industry.

Market Awareness: Knowledge of the travel industry, market trends, and customer preferences.

CRM Software Knowledge: Experience with CRM tools to manage client relationships and track business development progress.

Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently, be results-driven, and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to negotiate contracts and deals with clients, ensuring both parties are satisfied.

Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve client issues and provide solutions that enhance client satisfaction.

Educational Background:

A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is typically preferred.

Previous experience in sales, business development, or the travel industry is a plus.
