Security Guard

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Access Control:

   • Monitor entrances and exits to ensure only authorized personnel and visitors enter.

   • Verify identity of patients, visitors, and vendors as per hospital policy.

   • Maintain visitor logbooks or digital systems.

2. Patrolling:

   • Conduct regular patrols of hospital premises including wards, emergency areas, parking lots, and restricted zones.

   • Identify and report any suspicious behavior, safety hazards, or maintenance issues.

3. Emergency Response:

   • Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents.

   • Assist during fire drills, evacuations, or medical emergencies.

   • Coordinate with local police, fire, or emergency services if needed.

4. Surveillance:

   • Monitor CCTV and other security systems.

   • Report any unusual activity to the appropriate authorities.

5. Patient and Staff Safety:

   • Ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, doctors, and staff.

   • Assist in managing aggressive or disturbed patients or visitors calmly and professionally.

6. Asset Protection:

   • Safeguard hospital property, equipment, and medications from theft or damage.

   • Monitor delivery and movement of medical supplies.

7. Reporting and Documentation:

   • Maintain detailed records of daily activities and incidents.

   • Prepare reports for any security breach, accident, or unusual event.

8. Parking Management:

   • Manage hospital parking lots, assist with traffic control, and ensure ambulance access is always clear.

9. Compliance:

   • Follow hospital rules, safety procedures, and security protocols at all times.

   • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
