Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Security Area Officer

Objective: To ensure the safety, security, and protection of personnel, assets, and property.

Scope: Applicable to all Security Area Officers and supporting staff.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the premises.

• Conduct regular patrols and surveillance.

• Respond to incidents and emergencies.

• Report and document security-related activities.

Procedure:

1. Access Control:

   • Verify identification and credentials.

   • Maintain visitor logs.

   • Issue access passes and restrict unauthorized entry.

2. Patrol and Surveillance:

   • Perform regular rounds of the premises.

   • Monitor CCTV cameras and alarm systems.

   • Identify and report suspicious activities.

3. Incident Response:

   • Respond promptly to alarms or emergencies.

   • Assist in evacuation procedures.

   • Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services.

4. Reporting and Documentation:

   • Maintain incident reports and logs.

   • Record observations and actions taken.

   • Submit daily activity reports to the management.

5. Safety and Compliance:

   • Follow security protocols and procedures.

   • Ensure compliance with safety regulations.

   • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.
