Job Title: Accounts Officer/Accountant Department: Finance Location: Sector 70, Noida Reports To: Finance Manager / Accounting ManagerJob Summary: The Accounts Officer will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial activities within the real estate company, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions, compliance with financial regulations, and assisting in financial reporting. This role requires an individual with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of accounting principles specific to the real estate industry.Key Responsibilities:Financial Recording:Record and maintain all financial transactions, including property transactions, rental payments, commissions, and other real estate-related income and expenses.Maintain and update the general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and adjustments.Accounts Payable & Receivable:Manage accounts payable, ensuring vendors and suppliers are paid on time and accurately.Process incoming payments, including rent payments, deposits, and property sales, and track outstanding balances.Ensure proper documentation for transactions, including sales agreements, lease contracts, and other financial documents.Financial Reporting:Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.Prepare and analyze income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.Monitor cash flow and ensure liquidity for day-to-day operations.Property Management Accounting:Track income and expenses related to property management (e.g., rent collection, property maintenance costs, etc.).Reconcile tenant accounts and provide reports to property managers regarding outstanding rents or overdue payments.Tax Compliance & Filing:Assist with the preparation of tax filings, including VAT, corporate tax, and other statutory obligations.Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations specific to the real estate industry.Audit Support:Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations for financial records.Maintain audit-ready financial records for smooth annual audits.Budgeting and Forecasting:Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets for real estate projects, including acquisitions, development, and property management.Help track variances and provide suggestions for financial improvements.Qualifications:Education:A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus.Experience:At least [2-4] years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the real estate industry.Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or other industry-specific software) is preferred.Knowledge of real estate accounting principles, including property management, rental accounting, and real estate transactions.Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.Personal Attributes:Strong organizational and time-management skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.High ethical standards and the ability to maintain confidentiality.Working Conditions:Full-time position with potential for overtime during peak periods (e.g., year-end, audit season).Office-based with some flexibility for remote work if applicable.
