We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and motivated Accountant to join our team. The accountant will play a key role in ensuring the financial health of the company by maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and managing accounting activities. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Key Responsibilities:Financial Record Keeping:Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Ensure that all transactions are recorded in the general ledger.Reconcile bank and credit card statements.Accounts Payable and Receivable:Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently and accurately.Monitor overdue accounts and send reminders to clients or vendors as necessary.Ensure timely payments to suppliers and vendors.Budgeting and Forecasting:Assist in the preparation and management of annual budgets.Provide regular financial forecasting and performance analysis to help guide decision-making.Support the preparation of financial reports for budgeting purposes.Tax Preparation and Compliance:Assist with the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Prepare and submit relevant tax filings and reports (e.g., VAT, sales tax, payroll tax).Internal Controls and Audits:Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial data integrity.Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.Payroll Processing:Ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll.Manage payroll taxes, benefits, and deductions in compliance with applicable laws.Financial Analysis:Analyze financial data and provide insights to management on cost-saving opportunities, trends, and business performance.Assist in preparing financial reports for management, highlighting key financial metrics.Other Duties:Collaborate with other departments to improve financial processes and workflows.Stay current with industry trends and updates to tax laws and accounting regulations.Perform other accounting-related duties as required.
