Maintain accurate financial records for the organization, including general ledger entries, journal entries, and other accounting documents.
Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports.
Reconcile bank accounts and ensure accuracy of records.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and tax laws.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
Support the auditing process by preparing documentation and reports.
Process payroll and ensure timely and accurate payment of employee wages.
Assist in the preparation of tax filings and liaise with external auditors as needed.
Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost-saving measures.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent certification is a plus).
Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role (X years of experience preferred).
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience in managing multiple accounts and financial systems.
Knowledge of tax preparation and compliance.
Experience with auditing and internal controls.
