Job Title: Assistant Production Manager
Location: Kumbalagodu.

Job Summary:

The Assistant Production Manager is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality and timely execution of production schedules. This role involves coordinating with multiple departments, managing resources and implementing process improvements to meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning & Execution:
• Develop and oversee weekly and daily production plans for all units and machines.
• Align production with customer orders, sales requirements and plant capacity.
• Ensure availability of raw materials (green coffee, chicory) and packaging supplies before scheduling production.
• Coordinate with dispatch and purchase teams for stock movement and material procurement.
• Set daily and weekly production targets while optimizing resource utilization.
Operations & Process Management:
• Monitor production processes, equipment and workstations across units.
• Conduct daily meetings to track progress and resolve production issues.
• Ensure adherence to FIFO, quality, and safety standards.
• Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and cost reduction.
• Ensure timely maintenance and coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs and preventive maintenance schedules.
Team Management & Compliance:
• Supervise and guide production staff, ensuring role adherence and productivity.
• Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and implement development programs.
• Manage staffing schedules, attendance, and overall workforce planning.
• Support HR in hiring, workplace conflict resolution and compliance with labor laws.
• Maintain quality management standards (ISO 9001, BRC, FSSC 22000) and support audit processes.

Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination:
• Review and maintain inventory levels of raw materials and packaging supplies.
• Ensure proper stock alignment with production needs and dispatch schedules.
• Follow up with suppliers for material deliveries and address quality concerns.
• Cross-check reports on raw coffee, roasted coffee, chicory and blending consumption.
Reporting & Communication:
• Provide regular updates on production, packing, and dispatch activities to the Director.
• Communicate with sales and key customer teams regarding stock availability and delivery schedules.
• Oversee dispatch operations and ensure timely shipment of finished goods.
• Review and approve production-related expenses, ensuring cost control.
• Manage security personnel and ensure factory premises are well-maintained.
• Oversee infrastructure and facility maintenance with taking proactive measures for improvements.
• Coordinate visits from government officials, clients and customers as per management instructions.
