The Payroll Executive is responsible for managing and processing employee salaries, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, maintaining payroll records, and addressing payroll-related queries. This role requires accuracy, confidentiality, and knowledge of payroll software and labor laws.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:
Calculate and process employee salaries, deductions, and bonuses.
Ensure timely disbursement of salaries.
Verify attendance, overtime, and leave records for accurate payroll processing.
Compliance & Taxation:
Ensure compliance with labor laws and tax regulations.
Deduct and process statutory contributions (PF, ESI, TDS, etc.).
Prepare and submit payroll tax returns and reports.
Record Keeping & Reporting:
Maintain accurate payroll records and reports.
Prepare salary slips and distribute them to employees.
Generate payroll-related financial reports for management.
Employee Support:
Address employee queries regarding salaries, deductions, and benefits.
Assist in resolving payroll discrepancies and issues.
System & Process Management:
Work with payroll software for processing and reporting.
Improve payroll systems and processes for efficiency.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or a related field.
6mnth - 2 years of experience in payroll processing and admin.
Proficiency in payroll software
Strong knowledge of tax laws, labor laws, and statutory deductions.
Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in handling payroll for large organizations.
Knowledge of HR policies and employee benefits.
Advanced Excel skills for payroll calculations.
