Job Overview: As an In-House Made Products Retail Sales Associate at Restaurant, you will be responsible for selling our unique, house-made products directly to customers. Your role is essential in promoting and educating customers about our specialty items, ensuring they understand the quality and craftsmanship behind each product. You will provide exceptional customer service while driving sales for our retail section.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist customers with enthusiasm and professionalism, providing an exceptional customer experience.
Promote and educate customers about the in-house made products, such as homemade Pasta, Noodles, Bars, Cheese or specialty items unique to the restaurant.
Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently at the register.
Ensure the in-house made products display is always organized, stocked, and visually appealing.
Assist with packaging and wrapping products to ensure they are presented beautifully for customers.
Keep customers informed about new or seasonal in-house made products.
Handle customer inquiries, provide product recommendations, and manage returns or exchanges when necessary.
Maintain inventory of in-house products and notify management when stock needs to be replenished.
Collaborate with kitchen and management teams to ensure all in-house products are fresh and ready for sale.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the retail section, ensuring everything is well presented and stocked.
Promote any current promotions or special offers regarding in-house products to customers.
Support the restaurant team in ensuring customers have a memorable dining experience.
Follow all company procedures related to health and safety, cash handling, and product presentation.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in retail, food service, or customer service is preferred, but not required.
Strong knowledge of customer service practices with an emphasis on attention to detail.
Passion for food and an interest in sharing knowledge about the restaurant’s in-house made products.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
Basic math skills and experience using a point-of-sale (POS) system.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to [X] pounds.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
