An IT Education Counselor is responsible for guiding students and professionals in selecting suitable IT courses and career paths based on their skills, interests, and market trends. They act as a bridge between educational institutions and learners, ensuring that students make informed decisions to achieve their career goals.
Student Counseling & Career Guidance:
Provide counseling to students and professionals regarding IT courses, certifications, and career opportunities.
Assess students' academic background, career goals, and technical skills to recommend appropriate IT programs.
Help students understand the benefits of various IT certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, Python, Java, Data Science).
Course Promotion & Enrollment:
Explain course content, fees, duration, and learning outcomes to prospective students.
Assist students in the admission process, including application forms and documentation.
Follow up with leads and inquiries to ensure maximum enrollments.
Market Research & Student Engagement:
Stay updated on the latest IT industry trends and in-demand skills.
Organize seminars, webinars, and workshops to attract students.
Collaborate with trainers to align course offerings with market demand.
Administrative & Reporting Duties:
Maintain student records, feedback, and enrollment data.
Prepare reports on student inquiries, enrollments, and success stories.
Work closely with the marketing and sales team to develop promotional strategies.
Bachelor’s degree in Education, IT, Business, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in academic counseling, sales, or IT training industry.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of IT certifications, courses, and career paths.
Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and digital marketing techniques (preferred).
Ability to build rapport with students and address their concerns effectively.
