Job Overview:

The Security Assistant is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of personnel, visitors, and assets within the facility. This role involves performing manual frisking searches and utilizing security equipment to detect and prevent unauthorized access or illicit activity. The Security Assistant must adhere to safety protocols, maintain confidentiality, and respond to incidents in a calm and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough physical searches of individuals entering the premises, ensuring compliance with security protocols.

• Use metal detectors, scanners, and other security tools to detect weapons, contraband, or unauthorized items.

• Monitor access control points and assist in ensuring only authorized personnel enter the building or restricted areas.

• Maintain a vigilant presence while observing security cameras, monitoring the behavior of individuals, and responding promptly to suspicious activity.

• Report any security breaches or irregularities immediately to senior security personnel.

• Provide clear and concise communication with staff, visitors, and other security team members regarding security policies.

• Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of personal and sensitive information during security checks.

• Assist in emergency response procedures, including evacuations or lockdowns if necessary.

• Stay updated on best practices for frisking techniques and security standards.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in security or law enforcement, with preference for those with frisking experience.

• Knowledge of security protocols, surveillance systems, and emergency procedures.

• Strong attention to detail, ability to detect suspicious behavior, and react quickly.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.

• Physical ability to conduct frisking and security searches while maintaining professionalism.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional security certifications or training preferred.

• Must pass a background check and drug test
