Key Responsibilities:
1. Academic Support
● Monitoring Academic Progress: Track students' performance in assessments,
understanding their strengths and weaknesses, and ensure steady improvement.
● Personalized Guidance: Provide tailored study plans, recommend learning resources,
and guide students on effective learning strategies to help them meet academic goals.
● Driving Test Attendance: Ensure students attend scheduled tests regularly, aiming for a
high attendance rate (85%-95% in this case).
2. Motivation and Mentorship
● Building Strong Student Relationships: Act as mentors by connecting with each student
on a personal level, motivating them to perform better, and providing encouragement
through challenges.
● Addressing Academic and Emotional Needs: Help students stay engaged, especially
those who may be struggling or losing interest, addressing both academic concerns and
emotional well-being.
3. Parent Communication
● Monthly Parent Interaction: Communicate with parents regularly, updating them on their
child's progress, addressing concerns, and involving them in the learning process.
● Feedback and Guidance: Share detailed feedback on student performance with parents
and work collaboratively to improve outcomes.
4. Performance Improvement
● Ensuring Performance Gains: SAMs are responsible for ensuring that a significant
portion of their students (e.g., 60%) improve by at least one level academically.
● Data-Driven Insights: They analyze student data, track progress, and provide actionable
insights to help students achieve measurable academic improvements.
5. Operational Coordination
● Scheduling and Tracking: SAMs organize regular student check-ins (weekly) and parent
connections (monthly), ensuring that all touchpoints are documented and followed up
on.
● Creating Referrals: In cases where students require additional help, SAMs refer them to
specialized support (like subject experts, counselors, etc.).
6. Feedback Management
● Ensuring High Feedback Ratings: Work towards maintaining a high level of satisfaction,
aiming for a feedback rating of 4.6 or higher from both students and parents.
● Continuous Improvement: Gather and act upon feedback to refine their approach,
ensuring a strong, positive relationship with students and their families.
7. Coordination with Other Teams
● Collaboration with Teachers and Leaders: Work closely with subject teachers, academic
teams, and management to ensure that students receive comprehensive support.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in any domain.
● Expertise in any subject (Physics/Chemistry/Math/Bio) at the JEE & NEET levels.
● Previous experience in mentorship or teaching would be an added advantage
Skills:
● Subject Knowledge (PCMB): Should have a knowledge of either one of the science
subjects from PCMB and comfortable with syllabus till class 12
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills: To collaborate with students, Academic
Managers, and other stakeholders, and to clearly convey complex information
● Empathy & Patience: Possessing empathy towards students' working with a diverse set
of students. Understanding their struggles and have the patience to guide them through
their academic journey
● Problem-Solving Abilities: To identify challenges students face in achieving learning
outcomes and devise creative solutions to address them
● Ability to work with data analysis tools: To generate comprehensive reports to identify
trends, areas for improvement, and effective interventions.
● Data Analysis & Administrative Skills: Proficiency in analyzing student performance data
to identify trends, areas for improvement, and effective interventions
● Technology familiarity: Familiarity with educational technology tools and platforms used
for teaching, learning, and data analysis. Knowledge proficiency in use of excel for data
crunching an added advantage
● Adaptability and Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing educational needs and
flexibility to adjust strategies based on student feedback and outcomes.
● Self motivated with ownership mindset: Intrinsic drive to excel and continuously seek
opportunities to enhance student outcomes without constant supervision. While also
