We are looking for a qualified Electrical Technician with proven utility experience and a valid electrical license to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of electrical systems related to utility infrastructure including substations, transformers, distribution panels, and power supply systems. Safety, accuracy, and efficiency are critical to this role.
Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in utility facilities.
Troubleshoot faults in power distribution systems and restore functionality quickly and safely.
Inspect and test electrical components using tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, and oscilloscopes.
Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documents.
Ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes and safety standards.
Carry out preventive maintenance and maintain accurate records of all work performed.
Respond to emergency breakdowns and power outages.
Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and utility personnel on electrical upgrades or system modifications.
Adhere to all workplace safety guidelines and use PPE at all times.
Education: Diploma / ITI in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in electrical utility systems.
License: Valid government-recognized Electrical License (mandatory).
Strong understanding of electrical systems including high and low voltage equipment.
Experience working with substations, switchgear, transformers, and control panels.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to work in shifts or be on call for emergency situations.
