Job Purpose:
To lead, manage, and develop the MBA department to ensure it achieves the highest standards of teaching, research, and student engagement. The HOD will play a key role in academic leadership, faculty development, curriculum innovation, and fostering industry linkages.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Leadership:
Provide strategic direction and academic leadership to the MBA department.
Ensure the development and delivery of a high-quality, industry-relevant curriculum.
Promote interdisciplinary learning, case-based teaching, and research-oriented pedagogy.
Faculty Management:
Recruit, mentor, and appraise faculty members within the department.
Organize regular faculty development programs and encourage participation in conferences and research activities.
Ensure teaching quality through regular feedback and performance evaluations.
Student Development:
Oversee student mentoring, career counseling, and placement support.
Organize seminars, workshops, industrial visits, and guest lectures to enrich the student learning experience.
Monitor academic performance and ensure student discipline.
Administrative Duties:
Manage departmental budgets, timetables, and academic calendars.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements (AICTE/UGC/University norms).
Prepare and submit departmental reports and documentation as required.
Industry & Research Engagement:
Build strong industry-academic partnerships to support internships, projects, and placements.
Promote research, publications, and consultancy services among faculty and students.
Qualifications & Experience:
PhD in Management or a related field (preferred).
Minimum 10 years of academic experience, including leadership roles.
Strong record of teaching, research, and industry engagement.
