Automobile fitter

Key Responsibilities:

Installation and Fitting :•

Install and fit a wide range of vehicle accessories, including exterior (e.g., sun roofs, spoilers), interior (e.g., seat covers, floor mats), media and entertainment (e.g., stereos, navigation systems), and security-related accessories (e.g., alarms, tracking devices).

Ensure proper and secure installation, following manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in working with various tools, instruments, and equipment used in automotive accessory installation.

Understanding of wiring diagrams and electrical connections.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic installation issues.

Customer Interaction:

Engage with customers, understanding their needs and preferences for accessories.

Provide guidance and recommendations on suitable accessories and installation options.

Explain installation procedures and expected outcomes.

Other Duties:

May be required to assist with other tasks in the workshop, such as cleaning and organizing the work area.

May need to handle a team of Floor Mechanics, assistants, etc.

Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools and equipment.

Knowledge of automotive wiring and electrical systems.

Familiarity with various vehicle makes and models.

Soft Skills:

Attention to detail and ability to work accurately.

Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Patience and ability to work under pressure.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience:

Previous experience in automotive accessory installation or related fields is a plus.

Relevant certifications or training in automotive technology or accessory installation may be required.
