Job Title:Technical Supervisor
Job Purpose:
TheTechnical Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the efficient operation of all mechanical, electrical, and/or control systems within the facility during the assigned shift. This role ensures that any equipment malfunctions are promptly addressed, routine maintenance is conducted, and all safety protocols are followed.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management: Monitor and maintain systems and equipment to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime.
Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and resolve technical issues on machinery, electrical, and mechanical systems to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Preventive Maintenance: Carry out routine preventive maintenance tasks to reduce the risk of equipment breakdowns and ensure long-term performance.
Team Coordination: Supervise and coordinate the activities of technicians and other operators during the shift.
Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety standards and protocols in all activities, reporting any safety hazards and conducting safety checks.
Training and Support: Provide training or guidance to junior staff and operators on best practices and safety measures.
Shift Handover: Provide a comprehensive shift handover to the next engineer, including updates on the status of systems, equipment, and any ongoing issues.
Emergency Response: Act swiftly in case of equipment failure or emergencies to minimise production downtime or safety risks.
Qualifications:
A degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in a technical or engineering role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to repair complex systems or machinery.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks under pressure.
