Admission Counsellor

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Admission Counsellor to guide aspiring students through the IIT-JEE admission process. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the IIT-JEE exam structure, syllabus, and preparation strategies, along with excellent communication and counseling skills. This role involves helping students choose the right coaching programs, providing guidance on admission criteria, and supporting them throughout their academic journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Student Counseling: Provide one-on-one counseling to students and parents regarding IIT-JEE preparation, course selection, and admission requirements.

• Guidance on IIT-JEE: Explain the IIT-JEE exam structure, eligibility criteria, syllabus, and key strategies for effective preparation.

• Program Recommendations: Help students select appropriate coaching programs based on their academic strengths and career goals.

• Application Support: Assist students with the application process for IIT-JEE, including documentation, deadlines, and submission procedures.

• Motivational Support: Keep students motivated, set realistic goals, and provide continuous academic guidance to improve their performance.

• Performance Monitoring: Track students’ progress and suggest remedial measures when necessary.

• Parent Engagement: Conduct sessions for parents to address their concerns and keep them updated on their child’s progress.

• Event Participation: Organize and participate in seminars, workshops, and career fairs to promote IIT-JEE coaching programs.

• Database Management: Maintain records of student interactions, applications, and feedback for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Education, or related fields (Master’s degree preferred).

• Strong academic background with a solid understanding of IIT-JEE syllabus, concepts, and exam patterns.

• Previous experience in academic counseling, coaching, or educational consultancy is highly preferred.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in using educational tools, CRM software, and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple student cases simultaneously.

Key Competencies:

• Subject Expertise: Deep knowledge of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics relevant to IIT-JEE.

• Counseling Skills: Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their academic goals.

• Time Management: Efficiently handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Analytical Thinking: Assess student performance and provide strategic academic advice.

• Team Collaboration: Work effectively with teachers, academic heads, and parents.

Work Environment:

This role may involve working in coaching centers, educational consultancy firms, or remotely (for online counseling). It may require occasional travel for workshops, seminars, and student engagement activities.
