Job Overview
A Picker Packer is responsible for selecting, packing, and preparing orders for shipment in warehouses, distribution centres, or retail stores. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Picking Orders – Locate and retrieve items from storage areas based on order lists.
Packing Orders – Securely pack products in boxes or containers, ensuring proper labelling and protection.
Quality Control – Inspect items for damage or defects before packing.
Inventory Management – Track stock levels, report shortages, and assist with restocking shelves.
Labelling & Shipping – Label packages accurately and prepare them for shipment according to company standards.
Workplace Safety – Follow safety guidelines, use proper lifting techniques, and maintain a clean work area.
Requirements & Skills
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Experience in a warehouse or packing environment (preferred but not required).
Ability to lift and carry heavy items (typically up to 50 lbs).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to stand for long hours and perform repetitive tasks.
Work Environment
Warehouse or distribution centre setting.
May require working in cold storage or climate-controlled areas.
Shift work, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, may be required.
