Job Summary:

The Helper will be responsible for cleaning, organizing, and maintaining ship spare parts in the inventory. This role requires careful handling of mechanical components, ensuring cleanliness, proper storage, and assisting in basic maintenance tasks.

1. Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning & Maintenance of Spare Parts:

• Clean ship spare parts using appropriate tools and methods.

• Remove dust, rust, oil, and other contaminants from parts.

• Ensure all spare parts are in proper condition before storage.

1. Handling & Storage:

• Organize spare parts in designated storage areas.

• Label and arrange parts for easy identification.

• Follow handling guidelines to prevent damage.

1. Workplace Cleanliness & Safety:

• Maintain cleanliness in the storage and work area.

• Dispose of waste materials properly.

• Follow safety procedures while handling parts and tools.

1. Assisting in Inventory Management:

• Help in counting and organizing spare parts.

• Assist the supervisor in stock checking and movement of materials.

• Report damaged or missing parts to the supervisor.

• Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum education:

• 10th standard pass.

• Basic understanding of mechanical spare parts (preferred).

• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.

• Physically fit to handle spare parts and perform cleaning tasks.

• Willingness to learn and adapt to workplace requirements.

• Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in cleaning or maintenance work.
