Health Counsellor

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Health Counsellor to support individuals and groups in achieving optimal physical and mental well-being. The role involves assessing health needs, providing guidance on lifestyle changes, and offering emotional support to promote healthy living.

Key Responsibilities:

• Health Assessment: Evaluate clients' physical, emotional, and mental health to identify concerns.

• Personalized Counseling: Provide one-on-one and group counseling sessions focused on health-related issues like stress management, nutrition, exercise, and chronic illness.

• Wellness Education: Educate clients about healthy lifestyles, disease prevention, and managing health conditions.

• Support & Monitoring: Develop and monitor personalized health plans, making adjustments as needed.

• Collaboration: Work with medical professionals, therapists, and community resources to ensure comprehensive care.

• Crisis Support: Offer immediate support and appropriate referrals during health crises or emergencies.

• Outreach Activities: Conduct workshops, seminars, and health programs to promote wellness awareness.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Education, Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, or a related field.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Knowledge of health promotion, disease prevention, and counseling techniques.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate empathy.

• Proficiency in health management systems and record-keeping.

Preferred Skills:

• Certification in health coaching, counseling, or related specialties.

• Experience in clinical, educational, or community health settings.

• Strong problem-solving and crisis intervention skills.

Working Conditions:
