As a Domestic Travel Consultant, you will be a key player in promoting and selling our bespoke domestic holiday packages. You’ll work directly with clients to design personalized travel experiences, assist with booking, and ensure smooth travel logistics. Your expertise, along with your excellent communication and negotiation skills, will help drive sales, foster long-term relationships with clients, and ensure our customers’ expectations are always exceeded.
Sales & Consultations:
Sell and promote customized domestic holiday packages, providing expert guidance on destinations, itineraries, accommodations, and activities.
Work closely with clients to tailor packages to their preferences, ensuring all travel arrangements match their budget and interests.
Assist clients in choosing the best domestic destinations based on their preferences, whether it’s a beach escape, mountain retreat, or cultural city tour.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and nurture strong, lasting relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction before, during, and after their trip.
Address client inquiries promptly, resolve any issues that arise, and provide exceptional customer service at every touchpoint.
Follow up with clients after their trips to ensure they had a great experience and encourage repeat business.
Negotiation & Communication:
Negotiate favorable rates and offers with suppliers including hotels, transport companies, and local tour operators.
Keep clear communication with clients throughout the booking process, ensuring their needs and expectations are met at every stage.
Provide clients with all relevant information about travel arrangements, including accommodation details, local experiences, and logistical considerations.
Market Knowledge & Research:
Stay informed about domestic travel trends, emerging destinations, and seasonal promotions.
Share expert advice with clients regarding weather conditions, travel restrictions, and best times to visit popular destinations.
Maintain a list of preferred suppliers, trusted partners, and special offers to provide clients with the best possible options.
Administrative Support:
Manage client bookings, processing payments, and organizing all travel documentation (itineraries, tickets, vouchers) efficiently.
Ensure all client bookings are completed on time, with attention to detail and no errors.
Experience in travel sales or customer service, preferably within the domestic travel industry.
Strong knowledge of popular and hidden domestic destinations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and bookings at once while maintaining high standards of customer service.
Negotiation skills and experience working with travel suppliers.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and booking platforms (experience with [specific software] a plus).
