Job Summary:
The Payroll Executive plays a critical role in managing and overseeing the company’s payroll processes. This position ensures timely and accurate compensation for employees while adhering to legal and regulatory requirements, contributing to employee satisfaction and organizational integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Process end-to-end payroll operations on a monthly basis, ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery.
Maintain employee records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in status, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Review and manage payroll data for accuracy, including hours worked, deductions, benefits, and bonuses.
Prepare and submit payroll taxes and compliance reports to relevant authorities in a timely manner.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll discrepancies, paycheck issues, and related matters.
Collaborate with HR to ensure that employee benefits and compensation structures are accurately reflected in payroll.
Assist in the audit of payroll processes and implement improvements as necessary to increase efficiency and compliance.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and tax laws.
Proficient in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.
Experience with HRIS systems and accounting software.
Familiarity with federal and state labor laws and regulations.
Advanced data analysis skills and proficiency in creating payroll reports.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization.
